KEYBOARD

Lessons are in groups in our purpose built keyboard lab. Students will be challenged and are expected to be able to work independently. Keyboard is suitable for students 6 years and above.

The classes work towards group performances as well as practicing individual melodic pieces, so the students are prepared to play in bands and other music groups, not only on their own.

We provide keyboards for Saturday morning lessons but students must have a keyboard or piano at home to practise on during the week. Students will need to bring their own headphones to class.

Advice on what type of keyboard would best suit your child can be given by one of our specialist keyboard tutors at the Papakura Music School.

Students need to purchase their own keyboard book. All books required are available for purchase from the music school office.
